Guinness Nigeria, a subsidiary of the prestigious Diageo Plc of the United Kingdom, was incorporated in 1962 with the building of a brewery in Ikeja, the heart of Lagos. The brewery was the first outside of Ireland and Great Britain. Other breweries have been opened over time – Benin City brewery in 1974 and Ogba brewery in 1982.Guinness Nigeria produces the following brands – Foreign Extra Stout (1962), Guinness Extra Smooth (2005) Malta Guinness (1990), Harp Lager Beer (1974), Gordon’s Spark (2001), Smirnoff Ice (2006), Satzenbrau (2006).


Develops the Portfolio Strategy for Innovation with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director for F12 – F16.
Manages a range of projects across Nigeria with a special focus on the Innovation Pipeline agenda from F12- F16, through cross-functional, regional and global teams, while meeting project budgets and key deliverables
Manages and owns the project marketing budget by brand – minimum of £5m. Management and accountability for implementation of A&P spend across portfolio, efficiencies and evaluation
Significant influencing agenda with key stakeholders including Guinness Leadership Team, Regional Brand/Innovation Director and Global Brand Teams
Develops ground breaking creative solutions with potential to deliver significant business growth
Leads consumer opportunity identification and builds these into a robust innovation strategy


University Degree in Marketing/Business or other related discipline preferred though not essential. Post Graduate Qualification is an added advantage.
4 to 6 years proven experience in Innovation, marketing/brand strategy and implementation
Ability to work under own supervision/initiative and proactively
Strong Project Management experience
Ability to develop powerful innovation ideas that inspire consumers through fantastic concepts, liquids and packs
Uses analytical skills and intuition to generate Innovation strategies that deliver growth
Strong Commercial acumen
Ability to balance creativity and business solutions
Ability to influence across different levels within the organisation
Builds great relationships and aligns individuals and teams to a common goal
