To co-ordinate and manage all marketing activities for the Nutritional via great brand communications based on strong insights; consumer led innovations and expert engagement to ensure strong brand equities with volume and value share growth; strong category sales and overall profit growth.
Assists in managing the alliances between GSK and advertising, media, public relations, research, sports marketing agencies and other suppliers, as well as the interaction between the local market and other GSK business units within Africa region and International.
Responsible for gross sales
Manages annual marketing investment budget
Develops and ensures implementation of brand strategies that will deliver medium/short term strategic and profit objectives as well as grow and nurture strong brands within category. This activity largely determines the actions of other disciplines including Sales, GMS, Finance and Distribution.
Liaises closely with global role players within GSK regarding best practices, global strategies, R&D etc.
A university degree plus an MBA as well as minimum 7 years line marketing experience, supplemented by related experience in the sales discipline or marketing communication. Must have minimum 2 years of managing teams.
Sound marketing skills required, supplemented by a strong general business, Persuasive and Negotiation skills
Strong management, motivational, communication and influencing skills
Good team building and people management skills
