Purpose

Responsible for the management of the assets in accordance with Transocean policies and procedures.
Coordinate and collaborate in a team spirit with the Rig Manager Performance in establishing shared goals which support the Transocean vision & mission.
Support rig specific HSE Plans with asset department supervisors
Act as champion and mentor asset crews to build strength in rig safety and asset management culture.
Coordinate with Rig Manager – Performance on regular basis to discuss rig maintenance and equipment issues, as well as shared planning, goals and objectives to be communicated to the Asset and Performance teams
Responsible for maintaining and understanding all continuous assessments of the rig condition
Prepare and submit multiyear plans based on the company maintenance system and budget while taking account of outstanding assessment items.
Ensure that an adequate level of inventory and consumables is maintained on the rig to meet day to day requirements and the emergency repair of safety and operations critical equipment.
Maintain vessel certification (technical requirements) required by Regulatory, and Flag State.
Ensure that the key Asset personnel are mentored, trained, and competent and that they receive any necessary specialized training.

Qualification

A University degree in Engineering (Petroleum Engineering Degree Preferred) at the minimum.
5 – 10 years experience in the drilling industry.
3-5 years experience within an asset group as Maintenance Supervisor, Operations Engineer and /or previous job assignments with asset management or engineering groups.
Computer literacy to facilitate the use of company provided proprietary software as well as common Office Suite programs utilized in daily Transocean business.
Must possess very good communication skills; oral and written.
Ability to plan, strategize and direct operational issues as required.
Leadership skills to develop individuals within the rig and office teams.
Must have the ability to motivate and manage large numbers of personnel such as a project teams and rig crew.
Familiarity with codes, regulations, flag state, classification societies, equipment maintenance and industry standards required for safe operation of Asset.
Maintain a sound knowledge and understanding of Transocean operations and expectations.
