Purpose
Responsible for delivering rig based well construction services and contract execution with the client in accordance with Transocean’s core processes and performance standards.
Coordinate and collaborate in a team spirit with Rig Manager Asset in establishing shared rig goals which support the delivery of well construction services.
Rig Manager Performance must lead by example and show visible demonstration of Transocean Core Values.
Qualification
A university degree in engineering (Petroleum Engineering Degree Preferred) at the minimum.
5 – 10 years experience in the drilling industry and/ or 3-5 years experience as an OIM (Offshore Installation Manager).
Computer literacy to facilitate the use of company provided proprietary software as well as common Office Suite programs utilized in daily Transocean business.
Must possess very good communication skills; oral and written.
Ability to plan, strategize and direct operational issues as required.
Leadership skills to develop individuals within the rig and office teams.
Ability to motivate and manage a rig performance organization within a challenging operation environment.
Familiarity with a wide range of rig and well operations which supports safe and effective operation decision making.
Possesses a sound knowledge and understanding of Transocean operation standards and expectations.
