Control Room Operator,Usan Offshore,Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria

Purpose

The successful candidate will monitor the entire production area’s equipment and processes with the distributed control system (DCS) and ensure that it is operating within design conditions and at optimum performance.

Qualification

• The ideal candidate must currently be working as a Production Technician on Usan field or have prior relevant experience on Usan field.
• The successful candidate must have experience in his/her core discipline. Multi-skill discipline in Instrument/Electrical or Operations/Mechanical will be an added advantage.
• Higher National Diploma or equivalent from a recognized Polytechnic or University of Technology in Chemical Engineering Technology, Petroleum Engineering Technology,
Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Marine Engineering Technology
• Ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
• Good team player
• Strong oral communication skills

• Implement and steward risk based integrity management programs for various classes of equipment to address known material and corrosion degradation mechanisms. These shall include technology selection, inspection and monitoring programs, analysis and repair / maintenance work pack development, coating program definition and execution.
• Provide materials and corrosion engineering support to day to day operations and projects.
